Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We also store a username you choose.

Training Data: Content you voluntarily provide to train your essence model, including diary entries, stories, opinions, expertise, and background information shared through conversations.

Voice Data: Voice recordings you upload for voice cloning purposes.

Visitor Data: When visitors interact with a public essence profile, we store conversation logs and assign anonymous visitor identifiers.

Usage Data: We collect standard usage information including page views, feature usage, and interaction counts.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your AI essence model based on your training data
• To clone your voice using third-party voice synthesis services
• To generate AI responses to visitors that reflect your personality and knowledge
• To display your public profile if you opt into public visibility
• To facilitate coffee chat requests between visitors and profile owners
• To improve and maintain the platform

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, database, and file storage
• Google Cloud Run: Application hosting
• Anthropic (Claude): AI language model for generating responses and personality extraction
• ElevenLabs: Voice cloning and text-to-speech synthesis

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your training data is used solely to power your essence model. If you set your profile to public, your display name, username, avatar, and essence depth level are visible to other users on the explore page. Visitors can chat with your public essence, but they cannot access your raw training data.

6. Data Control & Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• You can edit or delete individual diary entries at any time
• You can toggle your profile between public and private
• You can delete voice samples and remove your voice clone

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase security rules for database access control, and authenticated API endpoints. Your training data is stored in Firebase Firestore with access restricted to your authenticated account.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to maintain anonymous visitor identifiers for features like the heart system and coffee chat requests. We use Firebase authentication tokens stored in browser storage for login sessions. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

esnc.me is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
